- Description
We are looking for an energetic and innovative Systems Engineer who has experience VMWare and Veeam, to join our client in Johannesburg.
The successful candidate will report to the DC Manager and will need to interact with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Administration of client server environment as well as maintain and support the operating systems.
- Good sound knowledge of AD and DNS.
- Understand SCCM/WSUS implementation.
- Monitoring, routine health checks and support of servers (hardware, hypervisors and software)
- Setup and configuration of VMWare and Veeam
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of VMWare
- Provisioning of virtual servers within VMWare
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of Veeam
Requirements:
- At least Matric
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT is beneficial
- ITIL Foundation v3/v4 advantageous
- VMWare 7.5 & UP (VCE) certification
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification
- Microsoft MCSE
- 6-9 years Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 experience
- 6 years of VMWare 6 and up experience
- At least 2 years Veeam 9.5 and up
- Minimum of 5 years HP and IBM server hardware experience
