Swan IT is currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a contract starting immediately based in Cape Town.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and deploy BI solutions and data pipelines
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
- Design and implement data solutions using industry best practices
- Create scripts and programs to automate data operations
- Provide guidance to other engineers
- Continuous development through training and mentorship programs (Shared)
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
- Code and solution review
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in an IT Related field
- At least 6 years of Data Engineering experience
- Exposure to Data tools such as Power BI, Synapse or Onelake
