Swan IT is currently searching for a Technical Specialist to join a client in Durban. This individual should have experience interacting with clients’ technical teams, internal software development teams and networking teams. The Technical Specialist will be an integral team member in the on-going support of products and services provided to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Support for API users and escalated customer queries.
- Administering help desk support to ensure client tickets are resolved timeously.
- Investigation / Problem Solving / Troubleshooting Issues.
- Analysing Logs.
- Coordinate changes to the software or any other config changes that may be client specific or otherwise - Change Request Management and Processes.
- Documenting Processes
- Checking Validations and attending to issues or escalating them to the relevant owner.
Technical skills:
- Proficiency with Excel and functions (e.g. VLOOKUP’S, HLOOKUPS etc.)
- Good knowledge of networking including VPN’s and IP-SEC tunnels.
- Ability to run Basic SQL Queries
- Understanding of APIs (e.g. SOAP, REST etc.)
- Worked with API building and testing tools such as Postman API Platform.
- Capture traces using Wireshark and being able to interpret the results.
Requirements:
- Matric essential
- Degree in a related field can be beneficial
- Prior experience in mobile messaging/chat commerce industry will be highly beneficial to have
- Previous experience with Atlassian Jira and SEQ.
