Swan iT is currently searching for a Business Intelligence Master Data Engineer to join a client in Cape Town.
This position has the option of being on a Permanent or a Fixed Term Contract (2 or 3 years).
The purpose of this position is to establish the master data platform and enable all applications to subscribe to this platform.
Responsibilities:
- To design data models to reflect the unique business definition of each data element and all its related attributes
- To ensure data is loaded and ready for consumption
- To configure the master data user interface and enable data governance for data owners and data stewards
- To ensure integrity of data across multiple applications
- To ensure adherence to the PPECB’s policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
Requirements:
- National Diploma in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Applied Mathematics.
- 2 years experience in data using SQL and scripting for data loads, and in SSIS, T-SQL.
- At least 2 years of experience in master data implementation
- Develop scripts which stage data into Master Data from other business data sources (ETL Procedures)
- Knowledge in working in a BI team using the Agile methodology and DevOps processes
