Snr Specialist: IT Unified Communications

Swan iT is searching for a Snr Specialist: IT Unified Communications to join a client in Johannesburg. As a Senior Cisco CCNP specialist your responsibility is to assist in the Architectural design and high-level support of the Networks environment which includes the optimisation of connectivity to  AWS, Azure, Amazon Connect and MS Teams Telephony in support of our digital transformation strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and understand business requirements in order to support the development and improvement of organizational IT systems.


• Identify, diagnose, and recommend improvements and provide specialist advice and support; ensuring that solutions are appropriate and effective.


• Research and evaluate network technology and make informed recommendations related to the purchase of network equipment.


• Advise on and ensure the effective installation, layout and maintenance of network components in an area of technical specialization.


• Accountable for the improvement of quality, service and work outputs, continuously recommending improvements.


• Plan for the organization of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to the area of specialization.


• Proactively identify area of specialization related problems, determine cause and effect and recommend the best option to implement corrective action based on previous experience.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment


• Extensive knowledge and experience in Routing, F5, Switching, Detail Packet Capturing and analyzing (expert), Network Security and Firewalls, WiFi, SD-WAN experience, ACI experience, EVPN, ERSPAN, BGP, OSPF, Nexus range, Nexus VPC, QoS


• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in IT or Computer Science


• Skilled in Agile methodology Preferred - SAFe for Teams (SFT)Preferred - AWS/ MS Azure Foundation.


• Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification (CCNP)


• Cisco Certified Network Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
