Cyber Security Engineer

Swan iT is on the hunt for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a client in the Johannesburg area. As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will be required to consult, advise, implement, support, administration and pre-sales of the company solution portfolio, with the primary focus on Security Operations & Response, and secondary Information Risk & Protection.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer, implement administrate and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information


• Support & Maintenance of security systems and devices


• Consulting and Managed Services tasks to meet SLA’s


• Identify and define system security requirements


• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols


• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure solutions


• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks


• Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents


• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement


• Assist with proposal and bid preparation


• Assist with consultation and presales tasks as and where needed
