Swan iT is searching for a Senior Digital Designer with premium or luxury brand experience for a client in Cape Town. This role will focus on creating digital assets that align with brand standards, enhancing the user experience through sophisticated design elements on the website and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Website Design
- Design and update website layouts and visuals, ensuring a cohesive, luxurious user experience that reflects our brand identity.
- Collaborate with the web development team to implement design elements, ensuring high performance across multiple devices and browsers.
- HTML and CSS Basics
- Utilise foundational HTML and CSS knowledge to support design enhancements and make direct edits to web pages, ensuring accurate translation of designs into functional web elements.
- Digital Asset Creation
- Create and manage a variety of digital assets, including banners, social media graphics, and email templates, maintaining brand consistency across all platforms.
- Design and edit interactive elements and animations that enhance user engagement while adhering to best practices in design and usability.
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, product, and e-commerce teams to align digital assets with promotional strategies and product launches, ensuring a seamless consumer journey from online channels to in-store experiences.
- UX/UI Enhancement
- Implement user-centered design principles to improve website usability and ensure an intuitive consumer journey.
- Conduct usability tests and incorporate feedback to refine designs, focusing on aesthetics and functionality.
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Digital Designer
- Experience working with Luxury or High-end brands
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for design flexibility.
- Proficiency with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, etc.)
- Ongoing upskill alongside AI trends and up-to-date with latest AI tools
- Strong portfolio showcasing website designs, digital graphics, and interactive elements.
- Excellent eye for detail and a sophisticated aesthetic sense aligned with luxury branding.
