SAP FI/CO Lead

Swan iT is searching for a SAP FI/CO Lead to join a client in the Northern Suburbs for a permanent position. The successful candidate will oversee the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Financials (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end implementation and support of SAP FI/CO modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting and Internal Orders.


• Serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful delivery.


• Conduct gap analysis and provide expert recommendations to optimize financial processes through SAP capabilities.


• Manage and support configuration, testing, documentation, and deployment of system changes.


• Provide expert guidance during SAP upgrades, S/4HANA migration, and finance transformation projects.


• Oversee master data governance for financial master data and ensure data integrity across systems.


• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring smooth financial operations and system availability.


• Develop functional specifications for custom developments, work closely with ABAP/development teams for realization.


• Support project activities such as workshops, end-user training, and change management sessions.


• Monitor system performance and proactively recommend improvements and best practices.


• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.


• Ensure adequate resource leveling in response to backlog and incoming JIRA and/or Solution Manager requests.


• Understanding SAP ABAP and FIORI will be advantageous.


• Advanced knowledge of planning deliverables i.e. timelines and resources.


• Advanced knowledge of system change management processes preferably using JIRA and/or SAP Solution Manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.


• 7+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience, including configuration, support, and implementation.


• Strong understanding of core finance processes: Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Cost Management.


• Experience with integration of FI/CO with MM, SD, RE, and HR modules.


• 3+ years experience in a senior role, leading design and implementation of SAP FI/CO solutions.


• Knowledge of SAP reporting tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and integration with SAP Datasphere and BTP solutions.


• Familiarity with IFRS, GAAP, tax systems, and other financial regulations.
