Business Tester

Swan iT is on the hunt for a Business Tester for a permanent position based in Cape Town, in the Northern Suburbs. This position will be based at a leader in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows to develop test cases and scenarios.


• Design, document, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and regression testing.


• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.


• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and re-testing.


• Validate that business rules and workflows are correctly implemented in the delivered solution.


• Provide feedback on usability, user experience, and potential process improvements.


• Coordinate, oversee and participate in planning and status meetings, providing updates on test progress and quality metrics.


• Assist in the preparation of test data and test environments.


• Support the business during go-live activities and post-deployment validation.

Requirements:

• Financial Services experience with a relevant University degree


• 4-5 years Leadership/management experience


• 4- 5 years LISP platforms experience or similar.


• In depth knowledge of different types of operational risks, systems and processes


• Experience with test case management tools (e.g., Jira).


• Proven experience in business or UAT testing within software development or digital transformation projects.
