Swan IT is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a client in Johannesburg. This position will serve as a technical leader, driving the architecture, deployments, and evolution of our enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
- L2/L3 Support on Systems – Full ownership of this role
- Global M365 Administration
- Development Support (Non-DevOps related deployments)
- Automation of manual processes through scripting
- Digital Transformation – form part of solution building, testing and implementation
- Logging, Alerting and resolving critical components within core systems proactively
- Audited compliance, keeping track of, and implementing changes as and when required through penetration tests and audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Proven experience in Systems Support, Systems Engineering or Enterprise Architecture roles (10+ years)
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux Server administration
- Windows AD/GPO/Hybrid expertise critical
- Hands-on experience with scripting (Powershell, Bash, etc.)
- Hands-on experience debugging third-party software solutions from an operating system & networking standpoint.
- 5+ Years experience administering Microsoft365 products
