Master Data Lead

Swan iT is searching for a Master Data Lead to join a client in Durban and will be reporting to the Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Master Data Strategy & Implementation
  
  
  
  • Develop and execute the master data strategy aligned with the project objectives.
  
  
  • Define approaches, processes, and timelines for data cleansing, extraction, mapping, and loading.
  
  
  
  


• Data Migration Management
  
  
  
  • Oversee master and transactional data migration activities across all modules and business units.
  
  
  • Resolve migration issues with technical solutions.
  
  
  • Coordinate with project process leads to define cut-over approaches.
  
  
  
  


• Reporting & Governance
  
  
  
  • Generate reports, metrics, and statistics for the program manager.
  
  
  • Manage data migration partner activities.
  
  
  • Ensure controlled Go/No-Go decision points and conduct post-migration reviews.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Execution
  
  
  
  • Identify data sources and perform data mapping, cleansing, extraction, migration, and integrity testing.
  
  
  • Propose historical data storage solutions
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Background in master data management, strategy, and enterprise-wide ERP implementations.


• Hands-on experience with master data creation, conversion, and data migration tools.


• Proactive, detail-oriented, stress-tolerant, and capable of multi-level organizational interaction.
