Analyst Programmer (12 Months Contract)

Swan IT is searching for an Analyst Programmer for a 12 Months Contract based in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical Guidance and Support: Offer expertise and support to the product team, assisting with technical challenges and application issues.


• Design Solutions and Database Structures: Create high-level solutions, design effi cient database tables, and develop software that meets business needs.


• Develop and Maintain PL/SQL or SQL Applications: Design, develop, and maintain robust PL/SQL or SQL scripts and applications to ensure quality software solutions that deliver expected results and value.


• Ensure End-to-End SDLC Delivery: Oversee and manage all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure successful project completion.


• Support Business Users and Teams: Assist with day-to-day queries from business users and PIT teams, providing fi rst-line support and standby services when needed.


• Facilitate Effective Communication: Maintain regular and professional communication across all levels, from junior staff to senior management.


• Prepare Technical Specifi cations and Programs: Develop complex and highly technical specifi cations and programs independently.


• Assist Team with Technical Challenges: Provide support to the team in resolving application or technical problems as they arise.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fi eld


• 10 years + experience in PL/SQL or SQL


• Advanced technical knowledge in all areas of the application programming, system design, and update, storage, and retrieval methods.


• Strong customer liaison skills to define project specifications.
